Anna & Sophia

Since Sophia’s is going to be Dorothy this year.  I decided to get her The Wizard of Oz movie so she knows where Dorothy came from.   We watched the movie last night.  She loved every part of it except the witch.  Everytime the witch came out, she asked me to fast forward it for her.  Which i did because i don’t want her to have nightmare.

Finally, i’m starting to feel like myself again.  I gave myself a day off yesterday.  Completely do nothing.  Just me, papa bear and Sophia day.  It felt good to just walk around.  I been indoor too many days.  I didn’t even know today was Thursday until my mom called me to check if i’m going over her house tomorrow.  I’m like…what are you talking about.  She said is Friday tomorrow.  Time sure flies when you are in lala land.

I’m still taking medicine, but not as much.  One of the medicine was giving me major headache.  What is the whole point of taking medicine when it cures one thing and cause another.  Then you have to take another medicine to stop the headache.  I guess the best thing is not to get sick at all.

As for Sophia, she still have cough here and there.  But way better then before.  I didn’t send her back to school even though she is feeling better.  Me and Papa bear have decided that we’re going to let her stay at home until next year.  First because i’ll be home doing nothing for now.  Second, this year is suppose to be the worst flu season.  Third, budget cut.  Trying to save some money.

Meanwhile i’m just glad she’s home.  I miss her when she’s not home.  The fact that i know she won’t get sick from other kids as of right now gives me a big relieve.  I can’t take it any longer if she continue to get sick.  It would just drive the whole family insane.

Made it to Ben & Jerry !!!

We went on the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream factory tour.  This is the factory that makes most of the east coast Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.   We were not allow to take pictures during the tour.  They brought us where they make the ice cream.  How it was made and the history of Ben and Jerry.  It was a really cool tour.

This is our hotel.  It might not seem much here.  But is really nice inside.  Especially the spa.

I am so glad to be home.  There is no place like home.  No matter how far you go.  Home is always the most comfortable place.  But i did enjoy the three day trip to Vermont.  Overall the drive was well worth it.  Papa bear is thinking about heading back there around Christmas.  This time we will bring Sophia and Grandma along.  I know my mom would love this place.

We took a lot of pictures.  I haven’t really arrange them yet.  I’ll show little by little these couple of days.

It was a really relaxing day today.  Woke up.  Went to have some breakfast.  Nothing fancy.  Just had something light.  Was saving up for the rest of the day.  I have a feeling i will be eating the whole day which i did.  Everywhere we went, we tasted everything.

Went to Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory and went on their tour.  It was really interesting to find out how they started out their business.  The reason their factory is in Vermont is because they get most of their supplies of milk and sweet cream from their local farmer.

Another thing i remember most vivid about today was this shop where they made fresh apple cider.  I had a taste and it was sooo refreshing.  You could taste the sweetness and freshness of the apples it came from.  Will definitely pick some up before i leave tomorrow.

Around 5 o’clock.  It just started raining here and we headed back to our hotel and decided to try their spa.  Me and Papa bear tried the deep tissue massage.  It was so relaxing and comfortable.  It had indoor and outdoor pool.  Jacuzzi and sauna. The people there were friendly and nice.

I will post all the pictures i took when i get home.  It is a really great place for a weekend getaway.  And in couple of months.  This place will be packed with people who comes for skiing.  Since i don’t ski due to my back.  I think i prefer coming now.

Now thinking my next vocation.  Hong Kong.  Would anyone like to join me?

Late afternoon yesterday.  Papa bear and i decided it would be a great idea to go away just for one day.  He’s been looking up for spa resort in Vermont.  Something we both could get away and relax since we both been so stressed out.  Found this resort called Topnotch in Vermont.

We left NYC at about 7:30 P.M. and got to the resort at 1:00 A.M.  It was so dark i could hardly see anything when i arrived.  But i woke up this morning with a view of mountain and trees.  The sun is out, but i am sure is not as sunny as NYC today.  ( NYC suppose to hit 75 degree today )

Don’t know exactly what our plans will be today.  But i am very very sure i will be going to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory.  I heard about it on food network.  Can’t wait.

I been talking about covering up my old tattoo for the longest time.  The old one was bleeding out color and fading.  I found this tattoo artist in Queen.  He said it was due to bad tattoo job.  He think the guy who did my tattoo was new.  Didn’t know how to really use the machine that well.

So what is past is in the past.  Now i just want to cover it.  I didn’t know what i want to put to cover the old one.  He drew me this pattern of flowers that was going to go around my old one and cover it at the same time.  I thought it was pretty and a good idea.  So i went for it.  It took about 4 hours of non-stop needle poking.  It was well worth it though.  It covered my old tattoo.

The sun is finally out today. So happy. The sun always put me in a better mood. Maybe because of the Vitamin D?! Still in New York with Grandma. Sophia will be staying home till she gets better. She’s been sick too long. I won’t let her back in any school until she is better. Don’t want her to catch something else home.

We can’t follow our child everywhere they go. As a parent. We must take our responsibility to take care our child in good health before sending them back to school. I don’t want to get other kids sick nor do i want them to get my child sick neither. I do understand everybody have work and are very busy. But do consider how much a child have to suffer when they are sick. Sometimes, it could cost long term affect. This is just my option. I understand everybody have their side of the story. Just saying, if parents could. Let their child stand home when they are not feeling well.

With all the things that happen this week.  I still manage to study.  The final came this past Sunday.  I was surprisingly very confident.  I know i tried my best.  I studied as much as i could.  No regret i would say.  With a 150 questions, 12 wrong.  To be honest.  I am still not happy about the outcome.  I thought i know all the answer accept maybe 3-4 questions.  So when i found out i got 12 wrong.  I was a little disappointed.  Got a 82 on the test.  I pass so i guess that’s all it matter.

Sophia is still not feeling well.  I brought her to the doctor once again on Friday.  The doctor gave her eye drops for pink eye.  Then gave her something else for her phlegm.  So basically, she’s on something throughout the whole day.  Either inhaler for breathing or eye drop or medicine for her phlegm.  She can’t even go out for a long period of time because i’m afraid she’ll miss out on one of her medicine.

I was just chatting with one of my classmate about what a bad year i am having.  She said everybody have their bad time.  Don’t think the world is picking on you.  That is just part of life.  The most important part is how you deal with your problem when it comes along.  Then she said it will be better.  Just look forward.  It will get better.  I really have no words for it.  I would just have to sit and wait.  I have….i need to be strong for my lil girl.
