I woke up this morning with dark clouds and pouring rain.  Is such a shame that is raining because it would have been a really nice day to go out.  Is going to be 61 degree over here in Jersey today.  I guess we just have to let mother nature do their thing.  Water the planet i guess.

My detox didn’t go so well.  The first day i went on.  I didn’t feel much different. Just another regular day.  But the second day made me kind of sick.  So i stop it after the second day.  Maybe is just me.  My body is weaker than most people.  I really heard good outcome from my friends who really went through the whole seven days of detox.  They said they felt lighter, healthier.

Went to visit Papa Bear’s friends who he haven’t seen for awhile.  We went out to have lunch.  I know hibachi is not the newest thing.  But is definitely my first time.  It was fun watching and the food was pretty good.  Will mostly try it again.

Tom Yum Soup/ Spicy and Sour Seafood Soup

I have the worst sweet tooth.  Another one of my new year resolution. Ha! Ha! Ha!  To cut down on sweet.  I know my friend would tell me……shut up Anna.  Because i make this resolution every year.

I tried out this place called Bakery De Paris couple days ago.  The pastry there is pretty good.   I searched it on Yelp.com.  Is rated four stars out of five.  I’ll give it three star which is still pretty good.  If you ever stop by flushing.  Sit down and have a little dessert.

You have no idea how excited i was when i spotted french macaroons in Starbucks.  Didn’t think twice and told Sophia to grab a box for me.  I usually have to travel everywhere to find these.  Now that they start selling them in Starbucks.  I no longer have to have them shipped to my house anymore.  Yeah!!!

Sophia wasn’t too fancy about them.  She tried the chocolate which she didn’t finish and gave the rest to me.  I gladly shared it with the rest of my family because i know i could get more now.  Ha! Ha!

One box comes with 12 French Macaroons.   Two of each flavor.  Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Coffee, Lemon and Pistachio.  $9.95.

I think after this bite.  She gave the rest to me.

Sophia hardly have time to see Grandpa due to his busy schedule with work.  And Thanksgiving is no different.  He said is one of the busiest day of the year.  So to make it up.  Sophia, me and Grandma have dim sum with Grandpa ahead of time.  Although is no big fancy dinner, but is being together that counts.

Sophia loves having dim sum because she gets to have a little bit of everything here and there.

I want to be thankful this year that my aunt is feeling much better.  Slowly recovering, but she is starting to feel like herself again.  This year all i want is a quiet, peaceful Thanksgiving.   I know she must be bored out of her mind staying home doing nothing. Beside i wasn’t in a mood to do anything.  Wasn’t feeling well myself.  So the whole day we just stay indoor.

We didn’t bake any turkey this year like we did in the past couple of years.  But did request my favorite chef to cook for us which is my mom.  I love her cooking.  She cooked some amazing food that night.  Another thing to be thankful for.  My mother  in good health.  Wouldn’t know what i would do without her.

When we were at Vermont, we had dinner at The Partridge Inn.  The Chef is also the owner of the restaurant.  The food was so delicious.  Everything was perfect.  The flavor, the texture, presentation.  It had a really comfortable, homey feeling.  If i ever go back.  I would definitely go back there for dinner.

How do i know when winter is coming.  I start to eat like Ms.Piggy.  I’m storing for winter.  Can you blame a girl?! Ha! Ha!  Is true though.  I do eat more in colder weather.  Don’t really know why or am i just really stressed out lately.  I’m just eating, but not tasting.  I been eating way too much.  I am starting to feel my jean….getting tighter. Hmmm…….  but i couldn’t say no to this crab.  It was so good. YUM!!

Just found out that Sophia love clam.  So this weekend Papa bear and i decided to bring Sophia to a seafood restaurant called Joe’s Crab Shack.  They mainly serve seafood in a big pot.  The price are reasonable and they give you a good amount.  ( I must warn mothers that make sure you child is at least 2-3 years old before introducing seafood to toddlers. )

Sophia loved everything.  We ordered the Bucket of Shrimp and crispy calamari for starter.  I loved the calamari.  It was the best.  I ordered the pot where you choose the crab you want.  And i chose dungeness crab just steamed.  It wasn’t bad.  There were lots of meat in the crab.  But i would probably ordered the snow crab next time. As for papa bear.  He ordered the Old Bay Steampot.  That was good too.  There were 2 lobster in there.  Sophia just share everything with us.  I think she had fun. We were so full we didn’t order dessert.
