Anna & Sophia

Is a must that i get my daily Starbucks.   Usually bring Sophia along with me too.  Last week while i was driving back after getting my coffee.  Sophia was so sleepy that she fell asleep with her rice krisy treats in hand.  I just thought this picture is too funny.

Who knew Sophia’s old sneakers is too small for her.  If i didn’t bring her to have her feet measured.  I wouldn’t have known that her feet grew half size bigger.  My little girl is wearing size 9.  The BIG 9.

These New Balance sneakers for toddlers are super comfortable and light.  They also have Sophia’s favorite color.  Pink !!  Of course also in gray.  They were so comfortable that i got myself a pair with lace in gray.  I must admit.  They are super comfortable.

I been trying to save some money by doing my own manicure.  The funniest thing is that everytime i take out my nail polish.  Sophia would stick out her toes and ask me to paint her toes.  After i get her toes painted.  She would go around the house to let everyone know she got her toes done.  She’s only two and a half.  I think is cute that she loves checking out herself in the mirror.  She would dance in front of the mirror whenever i put a dress on her.  But i hope that in future she would concentrate in school more than other things.

This is of course not the greatest pictures of Sophia.  But she likes to make these weird faces when i take her picture now.  And since she’s so into the whole princess thing right now.  I got her the princess pajama.  I wanted to get her the paul frank’s pj.  But she insist she wants princess pj because Cinderella is in it.

Sophia’s personal elmo potty

Sophia is going to turn 3 this coming February.  I think i gave her enough time to learn how to hold it in.  She’s been really good as in telling me when she needs to go to number 2.  But learning to tell me when she needs to go to number 1 has been hard.  Mainly because the wetness feeling doesn’t bother her at all.  She’s been like that since she was little.  She could have number 2 in her diaper and go about her day without telling me.  I wouldn’t find out she did number 2 unless i change her diaper or smell her.

This has been the longest weekend ever.  I took my mid-term for my Phlebotomy class.  Got a 82.  No matter how i study.  There are just certain things i could not remember.  Not to mention there were some tricky question.  Then to find out that i will be having my final next week.  That just drove me off the wall.  I know what you must be thinking.  What..Final already.  Yes is a very short program.  Just think about it.  9 weekends.  3 Certificate.  So you could imagine how tight the schedule is.  4 weekends on Phlebotomy, 2 in EKG and 2 for nurse assistant.

I must say.  They are jamming as much stuff into your brain as possible in a short amount of time.  6 hours per weekend seem long, but when you have to understand body function and blood vessel.  It is no where enough.  Even if you were to do most of the reading at home.  I feel like i’m reading another language.  Everything is in another term.

After taking this class.  I give credit to all the doctors out there.  If becoming a Phlebotomist is this hard to me already.  I can’t imagine what doctors have to study.  No wonder it takes about 8 years to become a doctor.  There should be a holiday to all doctors out there.  Ha! Ha!  But really, i do give credit to them.  They really do work hard.

This whole week.  My main focus will be studying on my final and taking care of Sophia.  Sophia is still not feeling well.  It’s been two weeks already.  I just don’t see any improvement.  Although she had gone to the doctor again.  They just gave her refills and even more medication.  I just wish she could get better soon.  She doesn’t sleep that well because she would cough herself awake.  That just makes everything worst.  All i could do is lots of hugs and kisses.

Can’t believe is October.  Can’t believe Halloween is coming either.  Is it almost the end of the year already.  Once Halloween hit, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas.  Bam! Bam! Bam!  Then what do you know is New Year.  Another Bam!

I see halloween costume everywhere now.  So i started thinking what Sophia should be this year.  First year she was goldfish and Tigger wannabe Pooh costume.  Then last year she was ballerina.  This year……….Dorothy from Wizard of Oz.  I have not gotten her red shoe or the ” dog ” yet.  Papa bear insist getting her a real rental dog for that day.  Is there such thing??  Renting a dog for a day.  He is just wayyy over the top.  I’ll just get her a stuff dog.  She just have to live with that.

One thing for sure.  She loves her costume.  She was dancing for a whole hour.  She didn’t even want to take her dress off.  I think she looks cute in the costume.  Now i should get her the DVD so she knows the story of her costume.

I found this picture on the computer desktop.  It seem so peaceful and quiet.  I could imagine there’s nothing but the sound of the waves.  Don’t we all wish we have that calmness inside us.  Why is there anger.  Why couldn’t we just have happiness and joy in our life.  Do we all have to go through our ups and down to really appreciate the goods in our life.

I do not know what my future holds from now on.  But i could say.  I really appreciate Sophia more than ever in my life.  She is truly the stars and the moon.  She is the diamond in my eyes.  She could make me smile with the sprinkle in her eyes.  She is the only reason why i’m wake up everyday.  To still want to live and be strong.  To be strong not for myself, but be strong so when she need me.  I will be her back bone and her rock.  She is my life. My everything.  She is my one and only.

My sick little bunny.

The thing i fear the most has arrived.  First came the little cough here and there.  Then the runny noise then….quiet.  Quiet as in sitting still, no movement.  Just watching her show quietly.   I must mention that my daughter is like a energizer bunny.  It just keeps going and going.  Sophia is the type of little girl that do not wait for the world to come to her.  She do whatever she wishes and is jumpy throughout the entire day.  Beside nap time, i cannot think of a time that the house is quiet or she’s not moving around doing something.   She can’t even sit still watching T.V. let’s put it that way.

How i know she must be really sick is whenever she is really quiet.  It is usually very serious.  That is the bad part about school.  All the kids share everything and more.  Sophia had also picked up a really bad habit from other little kids.  Sucking her thumb.  She was never a thumb sucker.  I know for sure she learned that from other kids.  That is even easier for kids to get sick.

I understand that kids are going to get sick no matter how you try to protect them.  You can’t put them in a plastic ball.  But every mother knows that when your kids are sick.  You will not have a good night of sleep for at least a couple of days.  Not to mention since they are not feeling well.  They will be more crankier than ever.  I love my daughter to death.  But when she is bad…..either i’m going crazy or i feel like i’m going to jump off the roof.

But what else can a mother to do when their little energizer bunny is running low in battery.  All you could do is give them lots of love and patient.  Hope they recharge ASAP.

I think i’m going to let her stay home tomorrow.  Don’t want her to get other kids sick. Besides she could get more rest that way.  Now i just pray she will have a good night sleep. *Crossing my fingers*

I mention last night that Sophia didn’t want to go to bed.  And what happen to little girl who doesn’t listen to their mother.  Puffy eyes!! Ha!! Ha! She woke up this morning like she drank too much water at night.  Not to mention she was so tired and sleepy.  Only if…..if they know what we do for them are for their best interest.
